"People are on Reddit talking about what they love to do or what they're going to do. And so, it makes a not only fun experience around communities, but a really natural connection with ... a company's customers." Huffman described the variety of communities on Reddit and highlighted that many revolve around a certain hobby or interest. He said one of the things people do when they discover a new hobby is to discuss what gear they're going to buy in their Reddit community. One windfall for Reddit is its ability to attract and retain users of varying ages, Huffman said.

Stanley Druckenmiller told CNBC he pared some of his Nvidia exposure in late March. The investor is confident in the stock's worth, but sees market enthusiasm in AI as overhyped for now. But AI will be a long-term play to pursue over the years, with a big payoff down the road. Nvidia, a semiconductor company, has become central to emerging AI technology, with most of the software run by the firm's chips. Over the past year Druckenmiller has also held exposure to AI large-caps such as Microsoft and Alphabet.

Related storiesThe stock was up close to 30% this year at Monday's close, but a combination of the revenue miss and weaker-than-expected subscriber numbers for Disney's streaming business probably sparked the early-morning sell-off, according to analysts. Disney expects its streaming business, Disney Plus, to turn a profit for the first time in the fourth quarter, but total subscriber numbers of 153.6 million fell short of analysts' expectations. Streaming losses narrowed to just $18 million, down from $659 million this time last year.

Fidelity ranked branch managers by the number of client assets in more expensive investments such as stock-managed accounts, Maeker said. Financial advisors who did not score highly were awarded little to no stock or threatened to be fired, Meaker said. This race to zero has led to more pressure on high-fee products, as Maeker's branch manager told him. A number of private equity firms have been considering a buyout of Peloton as the connected fitness company looks to refinance its debt and get back to growth after 13 straight quarters of losses, CNBC has learned. A number of other private equity firms have been circling Peloton as an acquisition target, but it's unclear if they have held formal discussions. Last week, Peloton announced a broad restructuring plan that's expected to reduce its annual run-rate expenses by more than $200 million by the end of fiscal 2025. Last week, Peloton announced CEO Barry McCarthy would be stepping down as it issued a disastrous earnings report that missed Wall Street's expectations. One source close to the company said Peloton isn't expected to have any issues refinancing its debt.

Inflation canceled that, and now it's almost certain that Wall Street's summer is canceled, too. That means Wall Street's fantasies of decamping to the Hamptons for the summer have shattered. You can see why this tug-of-war will keep Wall Street on its toes and off Georgica Beach. There is a certain set on Wall Street that does not get to "rosé all day" on Hamptons summer water when currencies trade that way. The simplicity that Wall Street hoped for is one of the few options that's no longer on the table.

Google Cloud, one of the fund's cloud providers, developed new technologies that drew a full room of spectators at Google Cloud Next. When Google Cloud clients request GPUs through DWS, the platform requires clients to specify the region, the machine type and count of machines, and runtime duration. Knowing how many resources a given client needs allows Google Cloud to provision capacity more granularly, which "unlocks additional capacity," Mateo said. As a cloud provider for many financial firms, Google Cloud benefits from helping its clients run these models because many research platforms are hosted on Google's public cloud. In addition to Two Sigma, Citadel Securities has its research platform on Google Cloud.
